Forums:
After downloading and installing build 2014.4.11 I lost my user group lists and now I am unable to configure a new user group as the function is not working. I did try downloading and installing again however the same problem occurs. Any advice on how I might remedy this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not able to reproduce
I'm not able to reproduce this, how are you trying to configure a new user group, and how is it failing to work?
When I open the configure
When I open the configure user groups the window opens but it does not work, it seems that it has not installed properly. When I click on set user group to add a user the create new group button does not work, nothing happens.
confirmed, the window to

can't check, I don't have users to test, so I checked the bug with the non responding UI only.

Just so I'm sure, you're clicking the configure user groups button in the top menu bar when viewing the user list, and the window opens but doesn't respond to clicks?

yes, exactly like that, the window with settings opens normally, just that doesn't respond anything except ( ? ) and ( X ) buttons.

I'm completely unable to reproduce this. Can you try this build, I built it just last night with a newer version of Qt:

the UI still not responding
the UI still not responding with this version, but if you create a group it start to work normally.
I think "Configure User Groups" button should be disabled if there is no user groups created.
also now I noticed a bug that make SoulseekQT to crash, this are the steps to reproduce:
1 - crate a new user group called "test" and select an user.
2 - enter in configure groups and delete the group "test".
3 - the UI freez and SoulseekQT crash.

That is correct Nir,
That is correct Nir, "clicking the configure user groups button in the top menu bar when viewing the user list, and the window opens but doesn't respond to clicks?" The same happens in the set user groups window. I just installed SoulseekQt-2014-4-17 and the exact same thing has happened.
Which version of Windows are
Which version of Windows are you using?
Windows 7 64 bit. SoulseekQt
Windows 7 64 bit. SoulseekQt has been working really well, actually this build is working well except for the user groups.
If you don't have any groups
If you don't have any groups then the Configure User Groups dialog should be unresponsive. It only responds when you have a group selected. The Set User Groups should definitely respond... I'm completely unable to reproduce this problem. Can anyone else weigh in on whether the Set User Groups dialog is working for them?
I did another clean install
I did another clean install and while it was installing I received a message to abort the install as there was an error so I tried again and it installed and is now functioning properly. I assume the problem was a windows problem all along and not the new Qt build so I do apologize!
That's great! I'm glad to
That's great! I'm glad to hear it all works now.
No problems at all
Nir,
I did a clean install of 2014.4.17, because of the changed default port. No problems at all. I use Windows 8.1.

Thanks Peter! It's using a new version of Qt so let me know if you run into any problems. I'll look into the missing strings very soon.
