User not sharing unless needs met - ethical?

As I say, a user has a stack of stuff I would like, I cant get any of them as access is denied unless you can provide one of six specific wants they have. Is this what soulseek is about? Ive paid a sub too so thought i could get to anything within reason

No one owes anything to anyone. Soulseek is about sharing. You donate to support the program, and Nir, not to get files from Person A. If Person A is a jerk, then it's settled.

Ethical? You tell me.
