Warning or Auto-Repair option for corrupt .dat settings files

I noticed that C++ errors in SoulseekQt are caused by corrupted .dat files. a good idea to solve this trouble could be add warning dialog (instead of a C++ error), then will be more easy to understand for the users where is the error. for example a dialog saying... "Somehow your SoulseekQt settings files are corrupted, SoulseekQt will try to repair them now".
