Forums:
After a few minutes of running, my client just freezes. It doesn't crash or close. It just freezes up. I can't scroll, I can't change tabs, I can't even X out. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, I've tried changing settings. I have no idea what the issue is, and would love some help if anyone still frequents this forums :)

That's not good. Is either one of you open to letting me debug the client on your machine via TeamViewer? I'd need to install some development tools on your end.
Hi,
Hi,
I'm open to let you debug my machine via TeamViewer. That's safe, right? I'm without Soulseek for about 6 months and it's driving me crazy.
I run Windows 8, that might be the problem, as explained some topics ago. It ran well for about 3 months, and then from nothing it all ended.

I've had the same problem for many months. My OS is Windows 7.
Any help would be most welcome, via TeamViewer or otherwise.
What strikes is that this issue was raised by several people before and nothing has been implemented in the new builds to correct it...

Just going to chime in that i have been having to problem off and on for months with Windows 7 64bit. I usually solved it by clearing my transfers. But this last time i have been unable to fix it. I have uninstalled it using Revo and reinstalled it. Not only did it, for some reason, show files i DL'd from a while ago randomly, it still freezes.
EDIT: Soulseek is storing information, like my settings and login info, somewhere and Revo is unable to find it and i can't find it.

You're not using AVG by any chance, are you? So then I understand correctly that the freezes still occur when no transfers are going on? How often would you say they happen?

Oh one other question to anyone who happens to see this and is having these freezes. Do you have the clear completed checkbox checked in either the downloads or uploads tab?

yes, I have both options enabled.
but I've not experienced random freezes in Soulseek while running, in my case it was only happening during "search" or during "download folder dialog".
anyway since the release of SoulseekQt-2014-6-15, I've not experienced any freeze for now.
