Reported Upload Speeds

Hello

Can anyone tell me how the upload speed of a user gets calculated?
It is not the maximum and it is way to low because i have a upload of 300Kb/s but the reported speed is much lower because some people seem to be downloading on a 56k line...
Off course one can unshare files from those people but that doesn't seem fair

It's an average speed of all users who download from you, so things like the number of upload slots you have open and the download speed limit of each user if it's slower than your upload speed do affect it. It's not a super accurate measurement, but it does give you a good idea of whether the uploader is faster or slower in most cases.
