I download soulseek but in does not install

I just bought a new laptop with windows 8. I can download installer but it will not install. I am not the most computer literate person but I have tried numerous times where on my other laptop there was no problems. please help. I just gave a donation and now I cant figure it out. thank you, Lost in space
