Strange chat messages from random users

Several months ago, I had left slskqt open overnight and in the morning, I had a few strange messages from users who I did not upload to or download from.
One of them commented on how my "finish uploads and disconnect" mechanism wasn't working even though it was selected.
Another one just said something cryptic that I can't remember.
Last night, a user with the name a7780098 messaged me the word America. They had not DL'd anything from me, and I did not DL anything from them.
At the risk of sounding paranoid, are there spy users trying to intimidate people on SLSK?
