Local error

Having not used soulseek for a little while i came back to the program and was unable to download anything; when i tried to download something the status changed to 'Local error'.

I have tried creating a new account and removing the entire Soulseek program, then downloading the latest version, but every time i try to download anything i get the same 'Local error' message.

I'm not the most computer literate person so there's probably a perfectly easy explanation for why I'm encountering this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

However i should point out i have not switched from mac to windows or vice versa (this is what my friends have told me may have been the problem)
