Non-latin directory names in Ubuntu/Linux

Tried the lastest available Linux 64 bit build from 2014-11-30. Browsing my own shares that have non-latin directories, files inside them look good but the directory names on the left side panel are displayed as nothing but questions marks ( if there's a latin char or number in the name, latin chars and numbers look good - standing between ?'s ). Files inside those dirs display fine on the right side. But neither individual file nor whole dir can be downloaded, it shows "File not shared" error.
Linux 64-bit build from 2013-11-6 has been working fine for more then a year and if I run it, it displays and downloads the same dirs and files perfectly fine.
I'm pretty sure this is a codepage conversion error somewhere. Nir, can you comment on this? I'll be glad to help debug.
