Problem with Arris modem?

So I read a few things on here from a year ago about a potential issue with slsk and Arris modems running in bridge mode.

Anyone get this resolved? Time Warner just upgraded me with a new Arris modem a couple months ago, and suddenly over the weekend I cannot connect to slsk anymore. Im getting that nice "socket error" message. Problem is, I set up the modem in bridge mode because I couldn't get the damned thing to port forward correctly, and I'd prefer to use my wireless router to handle everything..
