I am of the opinion somebody else is using my name to download stuff not known to me is this possible?

i'm unable to transfer my stuff across to i-tunes ( to put on my i-pod )i used to be able to do it, i have changed my pc, i was using a windows xp, i'm now using windows 8, all advice welcome, thanks
