Download Speeds Really Slow

Hello

My download speeds have become really slow over recent weeks yet my internet connection is 75Mbps (tested).

I have upgraded to the most recent version but that has not helped.

I am on Windows 7.

My average download speed is 3kbs - this is downloading from users all listed as having speeds of 100+kbs. I thought the years of it taking 5 hours to download a track were over!!

Is there a general problem or something I'm doing wrong maybe?

Edit...further to this, this morning it is 100 times the speed it was last night, and other nights. I guess maybe it is related to my broadband provider??

there are many possibilities for that. Does the Web port check say you forwarded the ports correctly? Do you have native IPv4 (not IPv6 via Dualstack)? Your ISP can easily track P2P connections via their signature, so yes your ISP could put a QoS on it and limit it.
But never forget that the sender is the only one who can say what he could give; simply contact one and ask for his help to analyze. SLSK has very nice people in it :-)

P.S.: the SLSK speed detection is no realtime value and could very easily be forged.....
