Closing on minimization of the taskbar icon.

Why can't I minimize my Soulseek program without it closing and having to reactivate itself on my taskbar icon?

SoulseekQt defaults to minimizing to the tray, to minimize to the taskbar instead, go to the Options->UI tab and uncheck 'Minimize to tray'.

I don't have any tabs under Options, just a menu...but every time I minimize SoulSeek, it appears to shut down...then when I restart it, it picks another port up the queue...I would really like it if someone could message me the proper instructions (I just downloaded the newest build, and it is still happening).

You don't have any tabs under Options? Are you talking about SoulseekQt or SoulseekNS? This forum is for SoulseekQt.
