8-39-12 update deleted files

I did the 8-30-12 update and everything went with no problems, as it should do, but when I started QT after the update, my user list had been deleted, all of the download transfers were deleted, all of the upload transfers had been deleted, the listening port had been changed and had to be changed back, and User Id and Password had been deleted. I had to reenter ID and Password, and reenter users into list re setup the colors, and reset listening port. Was there something in the installing of the update that I did incorrectly. Thanks.
