User initiated upload support

I can't find any option within QT to upload files to a user, so I'm assuming this (and the "upload permitted list") is not part of QT as yet? Is there any chance of getting this added, as receiving files from friends or sending files to friends is the only reason i still switch back to the old client now. Thanks
