Block sharing of temp folders and files that no-one wants

Help prevent people from sharing crap no-one wants by not allowing users to share folders such as Windows' temporary folders which contains random .log, .tmp and other stuff. Also, prevent users from sharing .log and .tmp files entirely. If they're needed for an application being shared or something, then let the sharer put it in a zip file and share the zip. By putting in these basic blocking measures, you make it harder for the average user to share stuff no-one wants just for the sake of them being able to download what they want from other user's shares.

is it possible that you block crappy mp3 rips or even lossy data entirely? perhaps someone would detect this as a figurativ (and obviously retoric) question and realize its true meaning.

ask yourself, do you really think this would stop users from doing the 'kansas city shuffle'? hmm lets see, i could put some folders and inside them i could put bunch of rars with an picture of my precious body part in them. copy paste hey i have 20k of files.

The idea isn't meant to get rid of all crap data but help reduce it. It would be easier for someone to share their completed soulseeks downloads folder than muck around with trying to share stuff just for the sake of getting what you want from others if this feature request was implemented.

This simple block isn't aimed to make it really hard to share crap nor be comprehensive, it's just a really simple feature that'll make people think about sharing something easy like their soulseek completed downloads folder rather than a temporary OS folder with junk absolutely no-one wants.

As for log files, I know they're shared with lossless music and that's no problem, but zipping a file is really easy and same with opening it. Forget about rar - just right click the log file and send to -> compressed folder (zip). To open the zip, double click it. Besides, on really slow upload speeds zipping a text file will make it quicker to send over

I'd also welcome a filter list for unwanted file extensions on sharing. Each user can decide ehat he wants to share as is possible with the search result filter. There are other users needing this feature as well.
