Download file under different name

We can already set a different name for folders we download, I want the same for files. Why? Quite often I stumble upon files that are impossible to download due to them having odd characters in the name. It's not every time that you can contact user and ask him to rename it and he would and besides - it's quicker than asking, waiting, re-browsing shares.
