How to share music in SoulseekQt for Mac

Hi

I am coming back to Soulseek since many years without using it. I use Mac, and the program works great. I am able to look for files, browse users and download songs.

However, I have been unable of two things:

1- Change the downloads folder
2- Share any folder

I don't know what I have to do. I go to Options/File sharing and, in the big box where the shared files/folders should appear, it is totally blank. I have tried to move folders into it, double click, right click and nothing happens. What should I do?

Also, I have click in the route where the download folder is, and nothing has happened, so I can't change it.

Can you help me? i am using the build 07/10/2012

You should get buttons at the top of the client window for various file sharing settings when viewing the Options->File Sharing tab. Let me know if you're not seeing them.

There's nothing there right next to the Available/Away button? Can either one of you post a screenshot of what the client looks like when you're on the Options->File Sharing tab?

Here's a screenshot I took. You would expect there to be a +/- button that allows you to select certain folders but there isn't one.

Hi,
I noticed on your last screenshot that there is a button to change the download folder. However I don't have any buttons at the top. Please see following screenshot :

The buttons at the top correspond to whatever it is that you're viewing. You should see the button once you navigate to Options->File Sharing.

Hey Guys

I have the same problem, cant change the Download folder, cant share anything. Adding, removing or rescanning a folder has no effect.
OS is Lion, 10.7.5.

Yes I looked - All the buttons are there, I can Add remove or rescan shared folders but it has no effect. Rescanning produces a message saying "0 files removed."
When adding the folder no scan seems to be happening as im used to from my Windows PC and the old Soulseek client.

Altough the folder (containing subfolders with the shares) is listed in the window, theres text below saying: "It looks like you're not sharing any files. Please share something before downloading anything from my own shares. Thanks."

it doesn't appear to be possible to share a folder with aliases to other folders inside… the main folder can be shared but not the aliased folders. the client just thinks that no files are shared… is there any chance of a fix for this? thanks!

Greetings ... I have used Soulseek on and off for a long time, but I hadn't tried the newer interface until this past week, and I seem to keep showing up on there as someone who's not sharing files, even though I have located the filesharing tab, and I have set it to "everyone" it still looks like to the other users that I'm not sharing anything. Is there something I need to "uncheck" or change elsewhere that is making my files invisible to upload? I'm open to sharing, but I'm really put off by the mean messages from people I hadn't seen on this thing before. Thanks!
