Search for files but programs freezes

I have been having the same problem every time i search for something i have the new build but it keeps freezing the program works fine its just the searching that makes it go full retard. is there any way for me to configure the program so it wont do that so much?

Does it freeze without ever responding again? Which platform is this on? Did it only start happening with the very last build?

Same problem, with the last version on Windows Vista.. and yes, it started happening with the last build

Yeah, there is definitely a performance problem there that was introduced with the option to get old-style search results. Can you please let me know if this version works any better for you:

Hi, i have the same problem with the latest version on windows 8 (64bit). It works fine until i search something and the program freezes... any idea?

Yup, I have that same problem!!! I have Windows 8 pro 64bit. The program starts fine, but when I search for a song the program freezes and it doesn't recover. I have version 2013-3-18

I'm using the 4-2013 version on Win8 x64 without issues. Perhaps its your client - maybe a reinstall?

There definitely appears to be some kind of issue with Windows 8, although in many cases it appears to eventually go away. I've tried reproducing it in a virtual machine and no luck. Maybe there's something else I can try.
