QT Completely Dead

Forums:
A couple of weeks ago my soulseekqt died - it has always been twitchy ie. 'not responding' for 2 minutes while doing basic things like checking for file thieves and chatting etc. but it died completely and couldn't be re-started.
I tried re-booting, re-installing, re-installing after cleaning all evidence of it off my pc & today I installed it again and still nothing.
The program hangs after 2-3 seconds and has to be killed with CTRL ALT DEL to get windows task manager to do it.
I was using SoulseekQt-8-5-2012 for all this but have tried SoulseekQt-8-30-2012 today. My system is win xp 32 bit, quad core, 4 gb ram, 1 tb of hdd.
Anything you can do to help ?

Those kinds of slowdowns can be hard to account for, your machine seems pretty capable. How many files are you sharing? Search your computer for a file named soulseek-client.dat, that's the client configuration file. If you move or rename it you should be able to start the client from fresh. If you'd like me to take a closer look at what's going on over there via TeamViewer I'd be more than happy to.
Still at a loss
I tried finding the file exactly like you wrote it and then just 'soulseek' but nothing. Where will it be on my system ?
I was sharing 65,000 files at the time it died.
If you think you can get to the bottom of the problem then Team Viewer will be fine.

The file is in the application data folder, which varies between different Windows versions. On Windows 7 it's in \Users\[user]\AppData\Local. Send me a private message through my user page with a TeamViewer login and password and I'll look at it as soon as I can.
