Latest Mac version, crashing

Hiya,

I've paid for my privileges today and installed new version for Mac (the latest one available). Not sure whether it's the former or the latter being the reason, but it started crashing (has done it twice on me already within an hour - hasn't done so previously for months literally).

Cheers, man. Don't keep me waiting sitting on pins and needles, though, please, lol. Last time it went a-crashing you said it might be RAM, but it was actually the HDD slowly dying. Got my RAM changed since then anyway, but here's hoping it's not related to any hardware issues this time around… haha.

I've been trying to reproduce this problem all day, so far I haven't had any luck. I can see where the crash occurs, but no specific reason why it might be happening just there. There are two things you can do to help me if you're so inclined; If it crashes again, get another crash report and post it here. It will help us verify that it isn't just crashing randomly at different places. The other thing you can try is go back to the previous version of the client and see if the crashes stop. I can see only one thing so far that might be causing the crashes, and that's to do with the memory consumption optimizations I introduced a few versions back. I'll make the changes to the code tomorrow and link to a build that temporarily does away with these optimizations. If they're causing the crash, we'll know after you try it out.

Ok, this is a shot in the dark, but here we go anyway: SoulseekQt-10-20-2012.dmg. I would also try going back one version at a time, first to the 10/4 build, and then 9/28 if 10/4 still crashes. If I know exactly which version the problem started with it could really help. One step at a time I guess.
