Windows 7: Lose transfer data on some transfers after crash/freeze

WINDOWS 7: There's been numerous times when QT crashes or freezes up and I have to restart the app (sometimes forced to 'end process' Soulseek.exe). Upon restart, I lose the queue and ongoing transfers. The 'complete' and 'downloading' folders are still in tact with the left-over files (mp3). For some reason, the app doesn't save the ongoing transfers and I'm forced to do another search to finish the downloads - It's rather frustrating. Is it possible to manually save the queue/transfer data while the program is running just in case of a freeze/crash or forced exit? It'll be ideal if ALL queue/transfer data was saved every few seconds.

Until recently SoulseekQt actually did save its data every five minutes, which was causing bottlenecks for some users who are sharing very large numbers of files. I'll looking into adding that behavior as an option. If the client does crash for you though rather than just freezing, a crash report could always be useful. See the FAQ for instructions on how to get a crash report.

Hello,

Is it possible to increase the save frequency of added downloads ?
Until now, each time I add some downloads, I close soulseek then reopen it so quickly, in order to ensure the fact that I'll not loose the last downloads... But this is really bad :/ , and soulseek QT is crashing too often ... :(

Thanks :)

A better solution might be to figure out what's crashing SoulseekQt on your computer. See the FAQ on how to generate a usable crash report.

Thanks, Nir

+1 on saving more often.

Also I think the several config files of the old client was a better idea, now with Qt saving everything in one config file, when that file gets corrupt, you will lose all your data.

And several config files will solve the problem of the bottlenecks with users who are sharing very large numbers of files, because that config file will only be saved when the amount of shared files changes, and not with a change in every other setting.

Cheers
