Forums:
Noticed this last night.
It seems that on top of the folders you select to be shared by soulseekQt, it also shares folders in the C:\Users\$USERNAME\ directory with permissions set as to be shared with Everyone.
These folders don't show up in the "file sharing" tab on the client
some more information, in case it's relevant.
Network Type is set as Work
Folders in question were on the Desktop and their permissions for "Everyone" were set to "Read"

A couple of questions:
1. What folders are you explicitly sharing?
2. What indication do you have that these other folders are being shared? Do you see them when you browse your own files? Are other users downloading from them?

Excellent, thanks.
Does this work with the Linux version.
I too had the same problem when sharing a folder in Linux. I found users uploading files from other directories than I though I was sharing.
It should. SoulseekQt
It should. SoulseekQt basically won't share any folders now that aren't directly under the master folder being shared, symbolic links or anything else that might point to an outside location.
