i saw something posted in a forum back from april 2012 on this problem but there was no decent answer whether or not it got fixed. whenever i open the program, i can see it for a second then it disappears into the task bar and i cannot get it to be visible. ive never had a problem with soulseek before and would really like to know whats going on here. respond here or email me

Well, a few things:

What version of Soulseek are you using?
What OS are you on?
32bit or 64bit?

You say you've never had a problem with Soulseek "before", but now you do? Ok, what has changed recently? Anything come to mind?

I had similar behavior of what you describe (not with Soulseek) and it turned out to be a Windows-issue, something to do with hard drive turning off or sleep, I forget exactly.

But either way, it wasn't the program, it was the OS.

hi, i'm not too computer smart, but i know its the most recent build of soulseek. the 10/5/13 version. not sure what the OS is that you speak of. i just bought this laptop i'm using it on, and have had soulseek working just fine for about the month or so that i've had the laptop. just started doing this yesterday. and i don't think i've done anything different to my computer to cause this. how would i figure out what the OS is?

OS = operating system

Windows 7, XP, 8, Vista, GNU/Linux, etc.

Hey matt,

If you can get TeamViewer installed on your computer I can take a look at the problem remotely. You can either send my the TeamViewer ID/password in private or some way I can contact you via messenger. Alternately, if you can find the latest soulseek-client.dat.* file on your computer you can send me that instead, it should have enough information for me to able to reproduce the problem.
