intel i7 860, overclocked to 3.36ghz
8gig ram overclocked.
windows 7 64bit,
Files are stored on Drobo Pro, 16terabytes of space, thru pcie gbe controller 1 Gbps.
all folders are under 1 folder , so i have added basically 1 folder, with 17 subfolders, with numerous folders under them! sharing all up 9.4 terabytes.

For very heavy use such as in
For very heavy use such as in your case, I definitely recommend you stick with the original client for now. There are optimization issues with SoulseekQt still that make sharing that large a number of files impractical. Although I'll admit I don't know exactly why your files aren't visible and why you get a client crash. I've come up with a very significant optimization to the speed of browsing shares that may or may not help your problem and will make it into the next build. Other than that this is something I definitely want to test for, but creating the proper testing environment is not trivial for me. So this won't happen very soon.
hmm ok, back to the old new
hmm ok, back to the old new-server version it is then. thanks for the prompt reply mate, much appreciated. pity there isn't a note on the old slsk site speaking of the qt version, i only came across qt by browsing Wikipedia of all things.
You're right, I should say
You're right, I should say something on the front page or download page. I'll do that soon.
Thanks, Nir
