Help. Soulseek was working...then quit and won't open!

Hi,
Been using soulseek for years. Just got a new Toshiba laptop with Windows 8. I was using soulseek and it was working just fine. (I love the improvements!) Then last night it just stopped and now it won't even open! I tried reinstalling and I created a Shortcut on my desktop and it still won't open! What happened? Is there a way to fix this? Any help will be appreciated. Cheers!

If you'd like I can take a look at it through TeamViewer or ScreenHero. It sounds like a problem with the configuration file.

except i am brand new to soulseek. haven't managed to start using it yet, but im on a toshiba with windows 8 and it only stayed open for about 2 minutes
