OS X system files - where?

Hello,

Just a quick q - where are the system files (user list, download queue etc.) stored on MacOS X?

I've done some digging, older threads on the board suggest it's ~/.Soulseek, but when I try and go there through Finder, it tells me such folder doesn't exist.

~/.Soulseek is the right folder, could be it's not showing because filenames starting with a dot are considered hidden.

How can I view this then?

As stated, Finder's "Go to Folder" doesn't seem to be opening that folder up - says it's nonexistent
