problems about uploading files

Newbie here.

Downloaded soulseek for mac, So I went to Options and selected share folder and made public and everything, but the uploading queue is just blank and I don't know where else I can click to make it work. Help (crying)

as long as no one asks for your files there's no UL happening. I presume the ports are forwarded the right way to your client.
