Soulseek not responding after update

I hadn't update my client for two years (been using 2014 client), and today i decided to update it today. I didn't uninstall the old one and just run the installation of 2015 client (by mistake i had downloaded that one) and then that's when the problem started, i uninstalled then again soulseek and I installed 2016 client, yet the problem remains. I tried running it as admin but still. I'm using windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, with i5 and 8g ram

that seems like the config files changed. Should be no problem: reinstall (no uninstall is needed) the old version follow the thread about exporting the settings and reinstall the new version and import the settings.

found the solution
I forgot to update the thread, i tried searching through files and after some experimenting i found out that it was indeed the config files. Although thanks for the quick response
