Hi dhue
Hi dhue
in the logs there is the extensive handshake of SLSK written. When you get something Uploaded, there's nothing DL without your permission. So there's no Quota (get this if you gave me that) allowed then. As I'm using SLSK in first and second stage to debug problems here in this forum I'm used to a lot of log messages and their ways to interact with the soulseek network. I've not seen any "get around my folder/security settings" ways up to now. I'm sure Nir would have not allowed such a "spyware" similar behavior of his program. In nicotine+ it's the same; no Linux user would ever use a program he'd not trust (that's the core meaning of open source).
So I'd feel save as long you configured your client right. What's open to everyone could be DL by anyone (which is again a core meaning of Peer-to-Peer application).
Cheers
upload log for d/l'd personal info.
I actually just didn't assign my download folder properly and made my desktop folders open for browsing and download. i had some personal info that could have been compromised. I was curious if there was a log to check so I could see if this info was downloaded.
thanks
Hi
Hi
there is one, but just (afaik) as long as your SLSKQt client is open. You have to enable the extensive Diagnostic under "Options-UI-Enable Diag" to see it. There you could mark everything (Ctrl-A) copy/paste it into a good editor and search.
Cheers
